Best advice I've read was to plan to cool it down 24 hours before loading frozen and pre-cooled food. We actually cool ours down best part of a day, add cold items, then leave the following day. Not a big deal if plugged into house. Bought remote temp gauges on Amazon, and can check temps without opening the trailer. Ours has the opposite problem, fridge temp too low and think we're out of adjustment range!
