Putting a fan in place of the vent - 20bhs

We would like to put a remote control fan into the roof vent opening above the queen bed. Has anybody done this, and can you tell me if there are wires plumbed to the opening? And what would be a good fan to get? Also can ifans be programmed to bring fresh air in ? Our existing Max Air fan in the bathroom exhausts the air out. We’d like the option to bring air in over the bed.
Thanks in advance.
Sam

The roof vent openings are standard size normally 14" as for wires pull the inside cover for the existing vent and see if there are wires. I confident there are reverseable vent fans out there.

Look at this one. I think it meets all your requirements, thermostat, remote control, reversible.

Daddysam, there are several videos on YouTube showing you how to do it yourself. Not a complicated project. The worst part will be getting the old sealant off.

If there are no 12V wires there already you should be able to get power from a nearby ceiling light fixture.

Either the 4500K or their MaxxFan Deluxe (7000K in white or 7500K in black) with an auto-opening rain cover.

I just replaced the existing vent fans in my bathrooms with a pair of Vortex II forward and reversable three speed fans. These fans do not require you to remove the entire vent to install and why I chose these over the Maxxair, or Fantastic Fan. That, and the fact that they were quite a bit less expensive than either of those fan options.

They're pretty quiet and move a lot of air compared to the small 4 inch fans that were there before. You'll notice an even greater amount of air flow without anything there now.

Below is the link to the fans I bought.

I shouldda mentioned in my previous post that the Vortex II fans do not include a remote control. However, you can install a wall mount switch to power the fan on and to open and close the vent cover, as we have in ours. You will have to spend quite a bit more than what I paid for mine for ones that include remote controls.

As far as whether wiring is in place or not, you should be able to find out if the vent is factory prepped for a second AC or vent fan, or not without taking everything apart. They normally will have that information listed as a feature of your make and model of camper. If it's not mentioned in any of the promotional details, you should be able to easily remove the vent garnish to reveal any wiring hidden in the attic area of your camper.

Thank you for all your replies. I ordered the Maxx Fan Deluxe with the remote. I dinged up my roof ladder when it hit the gutter on my garage. I’ll wait for some nice days off and the go up on the roof and replace the ladder and install the new fan.
