Just a follow up ...

We used camp beds to protect the front and side walls, secured over the top in an X with ratchet straps connected to the D rings and drove carefully to the venue. It went perfectly! Nothing moved and no damage to the walls.

We will definitely look into getting a pick up truck cargo mesh for the future ... but for now a tarp and straps worked well.

Thanks again to all who helped with suggestions!

In the photo you cannot see the straps crossed over (did them after we finished packing) but you can get the idea of how much we carried and see how we protected the walls.
