I saw a notice that all national parks, if open, are waiving entrance fees.
No mention of campground fees but I would expect they still apply. It also many parks that are open will have reduced services.

If I understand the news correctly the US and Canada have agreed to close the borders except for trade and commerce between the nations. This may impact either country citizens if they have plans to visit either.

Just an amendment to this...

PA announced last evening, after MUCH flack from the trucking industry, they were going to RE-open certain Interstate rest areas (NOT ALL) with limited facilities (porta-pots) and services FOR TRUCK PARKING/USE. What that means for us R/Vers remains to be seen.

The PA Turnpike is also re-evaluating their closures and the utilization of porta-pots. Toll booths will be closed and those without EZ-Pass will be charged by taking a photo of your plate and sending a bill in the mail.

The entrances and exits are blocked on the Interstates but for now, you can still park at rest areas on the Turnpike. The reports said that may change.

They have also suspended any construction projects.

Link to check status of COE parks. Many are closing, refusing new arrivals, or delaying park openings.

Kind of on the other side of the coin, WA State parks are staying open. Online reservations and payment encouraged to minimize contact with park staff. I checked a few fairly close to where I live and they have open spaces galore.

Just no group camping or normal "gathering" events.

Corps of Engineers parks

Gunther Hill is where I am at. Am staying thru Sunday the 22nd. When I got here paid for 7 more nights to make my 14. Wednesday they sent an email canceling my extended stay but they are allowing folks to stay until their time is up. April 1st they will close the gates until the end of the month. Such a shame this park has to be one of the top five Corp of engineers parks in the country!
