Geofencing
I noticed this post for Utah. The order was discontinued May 1.
I was curious if anyone encountered Geofencing on the road?
Cars will not be pulled over at the state line. Instead, highways will be “geofenced” at common entry points to the Beehive State. Drivers will get a text alert that prompts them to fill out a questionnaire on a state website.
The form asks for the traveler’s full name, birthdate, address, contact phone numbers and email address. It asks where the traveler entered Utah, whether he or she has been tested, and whether he or she is experiencing common symptoms of COVID-19. The traveler is then asked to provide up to four locations visited in the past two weeks. The information will be sent to a secure database at the state’s department of health.
