How We Can Help?

We are a RV community. We travel and explore this country. We should be aware of and follow local, state and federal laws during our travel.

We can help by following our local (city, county, state) orders related to personal travel.

We can help by encouraging others to do the same.

We can set an example.

We can do the right thing.

Kudos to you PoppySteve -
2 days and only one post of support....I'm disappointed in the community - let's of complaining and arguing, pandemic hits and suddenly everyone is a virologist and statistician. Let's just do what needs to be done - follow the stay at home orders and help our fellow campers.
Take this time to do repairs, upgrades, cleaning to your rv, your home and your car. Maybe even focus on your family. Pick up a new hobby

Great Post
#1 Avoid becoming sick by self isolating, washing and wearing a mask when you have to be out. One less person in the hospital will help everyone in the hospital.

Not sure what percentage of RV owners are retired, and/or capable of holding out when others are suffering financial difficulties. Just heard over the news that a person going on unemployment; if they can get into the system, will have to wait weeks before they can expect their first checks. Three weeks for the relief check and three to four weeks for unemployment.

I expect a large number of RV's will go on sell over the next few months. Let's be good neighbors and not take advantage of others financial pain. A good deal is fine; but a steal is just that. That is my two cents worth. Stay strong and safe!

Here in WA State the Employment Security Department is promoting online applications and the only delay is in checking the number of hours worked (which are reported online by employers) in order to qualify. According to my Son who is an employer, the delay isn't as long as everyone fears. Even under normal circumstances there is a "waiting week" anyway for which one doesn't get paid.

As for a lot of RV's hitting the marked it will depend on lenders. I think most will be willing to work with their customers as I doubt the lender wants a bunch of RV's sitting on a storage lot somewhere after being repo'd. Better to work with them and re-structure the loan so they eventually get paid.

I also don't see a big market for forced sales because even those who have money, how much of it is in investments that have been greatly devalued lately?

During this time of tension, fear of the unknown, and worry that everyone is going through, we need to rise up and follow the recommendations of those who are trying to make things better. We need to treat others with respect, as we would like to be treated. Help others where we can without placing ourselves in risk. Most of all - Don't take advantage of anything at the expense of others.
This Forum is one of the places we can pass this on....
Everyone, please take care of yourself and your family by making safe, healthy choices for everyone!!!
This to will pass and hopefully will make us stronger and more respectful of each other.

Canceled my 6 week stay in the Florida panhandle . Decided it wasn't worth the risk . Florida imposing a 14 day quarantine on New Yorkers and making sure family is OK was deciding factor . Anyway had time to Brew some Beer and maintenance on the motorhome .

Thanks for the great post. It’s so true.

Those with a sticks and bricks home should be there. I really feel for full timers trying to find a place to stay put.
