Iowa campgrounds opening...partially
SECTION TWO. Pursuant to Iowa Code § 135.144 (3), and in conjunction with the Iowa Department of Public Health, unless otherwise modified by subsequent proclamation or order of the Iowa Department of Public Health, I hereby order that effective at 5:00 a.m. on May 8, 2020, and continuing until 11:59 p.m. on May 15, 2020:
A. Campgrounds: Any public or private campground may reopen, provided that the campground implements reasonable measures under the circumstances of each campground to ensure social distancing, increased hygiene practices, and other public health measures to reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19 consistent with guidance issued by the Iowa Department of Public Health.

Campgrounds:
On May 8 at 8:00 a.m., campgrounds, including modern, backpack and equestrian sites, will be open on a first-come, first-served basis for overnight stays for the weekend of May 8-10.
On May 8 at 9:00 a.m., on-line reservations can be made for check-in dates on or after Monday May 11.
Only self-contained units, including tents with portable toilets, will be allowed. Some campgrounds may be closed due to construction or maintenance issues, so please check the specific closure information below for each park before planning a camping trip.
Some campsites may be closed to ensure social distancing.
Campers only in the campground; no guests allowed.
Campfires at campsites should be for occupants of the campsite only.
Any current reservations starting prior to May 14 and extending past that date will be honored.
Federal and Corps campgrounds remain closed.
