Looking at what the immediate future might look like

Here's a link to the IHME (Institute for Health Metrics Evaluation) which shows the projected "Curve" of the Covid-19 epidemic over the next several months.

Click on the "button" in the green banner bar for either the total US or any individual state.

https://covid19.healthdata.org/projections

If these projections are true we can see as many as 2644 deaths for the day April 16.

Looking at current numbers and near term projections, New York could certainly use everyone's prayers along with some good fortune.

Those are some pretty scary numbers. I try not to focus on projections but by the way this is going each day it might not be that far off. And judging by some other countries like Italy it could very well be a reality. I read somewhere the other day that the U.S. will probably get hit the hardest simply because of our stubbornness to stay home and practice good cleanliness. There are still a lot of people out there that just don't believe. My wife is still working and unfortunately has to be out with the public and it is amazing for her to witness people coughing, sneezing, and touching everything. I know a few people that live in other countries and talking with them they are amazed as to how the U.S. almost seems unorganized and simply not taking aggressive action. I guess we'll wait and see..

I lived in a foreign country for a couple years. Let's just say things are different when it comes to how other governments work in times of crisis.

At the job I retired from we had a saying "If everyone's in charge, nobody is in charge".

I dare not comment further ------------
