Before moving here, on our way to a Nascar truck race we stopped at a Quartzite truck stop, best hot roast beef sandwich I ever had.

I will head to Florida soon. Don’t believe the hype of how bad COVID is down there.

RV ing this Winter

The 40 % that say they will be traveling as usual without restriction is why I will NOT be traveling to USA this winter.

Leaving Mi end of November to our place near Sebring. Will do the same as we have all summer, social distancing , and fewer trips to restaurants. Hoping maybe a vaccine will be out early next year !

I respect how you feel. The nice thing about a motorhome is you get to associate or isolate about as much as you can sitting in your living room.

Pardon my lack of understanding, still don't know what the $5,600 bill was for. They put both of you on a plane?

If you like, you can respond as if you'd be boondocking long-term, not in an RV Park, this year.

Don't need long responses on the 'why' or 'why not'... just looking to see how many will be traveling away from home, once Ol' Man Winter makes his seasonal visit.

Answers are anonymous (unless you also choose to post, along with your vote)
Going to AZ will be boondocking

Staying In Canada and close to home

She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed and I are staying home in Canada this year.
Concerns about Covid-19 and border restrictions being the main reasons.
Usually, we use the motor home to drive down to Port Canaveral, after Christmas, catch a cruise then enjoy the warmer climate until the end of March.
Not this year, I'm afraid.

In GA you want the Royal Red shrimp. NOT fried, steamed. They are usually large and taste a bit different, some say like lobster! Some can be found on the FL panhandle but mostly AL.

We haven't done anything different. Leaving Thursday for a month in Maggie Valley NC, home for a week for doc appointments then FL, then home for most of Dec and off to FL jan - Mar. Will make additional reservations in Jan.

Not this year. Had to leave AZ early last year because of the covid19. Hoping by next summer we can make a big trip west.

Full timer

Since we’re full timers, we’ve been traveling all summer, and will continue thru the winter.

No snowbirding needed in S. Louisiana

I am not yet retired, but hopefully in about 3 years. We just upgraded from a fifth wheel to a Berkshire 39A motor home. I was planning a trip to Key West, FL around Mardi Gras (a holiday we want to escape from) in mid Feb. 2021. But, all the nice RV parks are already booked up for snowbirds.
