Production and sales closing?

Anyone know if dealerships or manufacturing plants are closing or experiencing delays?

Are you talking about RV's or other things?

I was thinking about the same thing, if anyone has a new RV on order or are waiting on receiving parts or work at the dealership a couple months could turn into waiting till next year.

Do you have a source or is that speculation? I ordered one Feb 11 and was quoted 6 - 8 weeks. Next week will be 6 weeks. Ugh.

Isn’t that the normal waiting period anyway?

If there is a silver lining, you could be getting a 2021 model.....

Slowing RV production has probably already started. Parts and supplies have already stopped production for some Ford plants and now, the UAW and all big 3 vehicle manufacturers have reached a deal to slow production.

Read an article on my news feed that said many places are denying truck drivers, that are making deliveries, are denying the use of restrooms. Sounds ridiculous but the article suggested that a lot of drivers might be staying home as more and more facilities they rely on when on the road are closed to them. Restaurants? Restrooms? Showers? All things that are taken for granted by non-truck drivers.

If enough truck drivers stay home I would expect to see more than just a few interruptions as parts and supplies are not delivered to factories.

Who knows, maybe even a 2022 model if things don't resume soon.

If it ends up being a 2022 model, it would probably be built on a 2019 chassis that sat outside for 2-3 years.

Not a Forest River plant but Northwoods Outdoors RV in Oregon has suspended operations for now, they are the only one so far.

I look for all non essential production to halt. If the Defense Production Act is set into full action, Goodyear and Firestone, tomorrow would be making rubber gloves and haz mat suits, and Dow Chemical would be producing hand sanitizer.

Last thing anyone should be thinking about right now is buying an RV. Travel bans will soon be in effect. I don't think people realize how bad this is going to get.
Camping is going to be on hold for this year unless you already live out in isolated areas.

What are your qualifications for saying that? Are you a doctor? Yes early season might be impacted but saying a full year of lock down is a little ridiculous. We have numerous officials saying that so I would trust them first.

I'm in the same boat. Order a RV amid February , quoted 4 to 8 weeks as the rep was there and said he had one comming off the line he could allocate to me on March 19, which is tomorrow. But not sure now. Sold my old trailer last week and have trips and races booked for this summer. Curious if Indiana is still up and running.

I am losing my mind being stuck after only a few short days. All I can say is I hope that the temporary 2 week estimate is right because I will go crazy. I see a lot of civil unrest coming if the gov't keeps trying to lock us down like this.

Don't have to be a doctor. Look at the data. Notice how all media including Fox has now gotten very serious about it. Trump is now very serious.
We are only in the early stages of this. The problem is that people are going about things as if it's just a cold. Did you know that if someone sneezes in say a Trader Joes that the virus droplets can supposedly stay suspended in the air for 2 hours. Even if it's only 30 mins. That would mean someone walking throught he droplets will get infect. They're so small and light that they float. Going out in public is not advised.
Stock market is crashing. Job losses are skyrocketing. The GOV doesn't just throw out money. $1000 checks soon to be in the mail. Last time that happened was 2008-09. A bad recession or depression is on it's way.
