Sewer CG usage

State parks are open to self contained campers only. The parks have sewer so Iím wondering if one will be allowed to connect to the sewer or if they have opened a dump station.
All our Corp campgrounds are closed.

Been thinking about that ourselves up here in Saskatchewan. Provincial parks are closed for now, though they wouldn't open for another month anyway. But we're in a long-term seasonal private campground within the park and a lot of us are wondering if we'd be able to get into our sites. So we're wondering if someone would at least turn the water on, and then while we have sewer access on every site, would they still have the sanitation company come and clean out the tank? It's great if one can dump, but if nobody cleans the septic tank, it's pointless.

Usually self contained means that you have bathroom facilities and do not require restrooms. It usually does not pertain to sewer connections. Most likely restrooms are closed preventing tents or smaller RVs that do not have bathroom capabilities.

They don't give out a lot of information on their website, do they?
They say that all rv campsites are open. Sounds like it will be dependent on what services are in each campground. I can't imagine why you wouldn't be allowed to connect to sewer services.
Let us know what you find out.

X2 what Flybob said. They don't want chancing spreading the virus by allowing use of the common facilities. They'll keep those locked so you'll have to use your onboard facilities. You'll no doubt be allowed to connect and use the sewer connection.

Moot question here. State Parks are just plain CLOSED, period. At first the State Parks Dept announced parks would be open although common areas would be restricted or closed. Now they're totally closed so people will just plain stay at home.

Expect more of this as this crisis continues.
