2021 Alta 2100MBH - Current draw when plugged in (generator) and nothing being used

Hello All,

I recently bought a generator (Predator 3500) so that I could go and camp without shore power. Anyhow, my question is this. When plugging in your travel trailer, what is a typical read out in terms of current draw when nothing is being used? For whatever reason, my travel trailer when plugged reads out that it is drawing 14.1A. Anyone have any insight on this? It would be much appreciated.

Thank you,

Steve

The converter will begin charging batteries if they are low. 14.1 amps seems like a lot though unless your batts were nearly dead. The electric side of water heater could be doing it if you left it on.

My thoughts exactly on it being too much of a draw. I figured there was going to be some battery charging showing up, Im almost positive the electric water heater isnt on. Ill definitely be doing more investigating this weekend.
