East to West

Got a chance to look over the newest FR Product line at the Rally. They had 3 East to West "stick and tin" TTs there. I got to talk to the (if I understood him correctly) the Brand Manager for a good while. I gotta say, I was impressed. I thought they were very good looking trailers for their price point. Not sure if I am to let the expected MSRP out yet, but if you count the standard 30-or-so percent off MSRP as actual selling price, I think they are gonna sell a TON of them.

the 29KS2 has a great layout. Rear living with dual opposing slides and a good size island. Kinda similar to my 8329ss Rockwood. The 31K3S had the single largest bunk-room as I have ever seen in a camper. All 3 looked positioned for entry level families. They had nice touches like actual shower/tubs, and king-sized main beds, and even though the are lower-priced, I liked things like their countertops feel like some sort of hard plastic (UHMW?) but have a nice marbling in them so they don't look really chintzy. About the only downside I saw was the main bedrooms are really tight, but with no slides and a king bed, it's gonna be snug.

Overall, I think is a great addition to the FR line.

Tim

Some googling shows the trailers have already popped up at a few dealers, despite South Bend Tribune reporting the new division setting up shop a little over a month ago. However, a 34ft trailer with a slide for $21k street price does not exactly scream "quality".

Agree. But for the money, I was pretty impressed. Maybe those were prototypes that were screwed together extra tight just for the show, but maybe not.

Nobody is gonna think they are in a Riverstone inside one of them, but I think they compare nicely to say a Jayco Jay Flight 324BDSW at $10K less than the Jayco.
