Solar

We have a 2019 29k2s and am wondering what is needed to have a solar panel to keep a charge on the battery when in storage. The brochure says its solar prepped, whatever that means. Any ideas would be helpful for size needed.
Thanks
Bob

it's probably easier, and much cheaper, to just detach the Negative battery cable and be done with it....

It doesn't take much to keep a trickle charge. A cheap $15 PWM charge controller and a 20W or so panel. You could even plug the setup into the solar ready plug.

Thanks for the responses. Is the solar ready plug wired to the batteries through the junction box on the a-frame? I think I'd like something to set on the tank cover to keep a good charge.

Each setup is unique. You will have to investigate. You don't need to go crazy with an MPPT charge controller, large gauge wires, and 100W panels. For a battery maintainer just keep it simple.

The easy money is to just use clips and connect directly to the battery posts. Assuming your storage location is secure and you can trust no one will walk off with it.
