Lippert Base Camp Hydraulic Leveling System Issues

Are we the only ones who keep having issues with the Lippert Base Camp Leveling System -- and then having to wait WEEKS to MONTHS for repairs? We have a 2023 East to West Entrada, and at just one month old (we bought the rig new), the right front leveling jack partially deployed WHILE DRIVING. Flash forward one year (almost to the day) and the left front partially deployed WHILE DRIVING. Last summer the repair took a couple of months. So far we're at 5 weeks awaiting the parts for repair. No additional damage occurred as we were quickly able to pull off the road. So two consecutive summers now where we couldn't do our planned traveling. I don't see where Forest River (maker of the RV) has been much help in expediting parts on our behalf. Certainly based on our experiences I wouldn't recommend a rig with this brand hydraulic levelers -- so again, are we the only ones experiencing this issue? Is it a "known problem"? (only 8000 miles on our rig)

Wouldn't it be great to get in your rig and not have to worry about something not working this is supposed to be a relaxing vacation the money we pay for these rigs. there money pits and always on your mind when you go out on the road i am on my 3rd pursuit Fixed a lot of things my self haven't learned ether I needed to get at my slide out motor and two of the screws were covered by a frame part thank God the lippert tec By the Name Van on a Sunday helped me get My slide back in with face time and many dropped calls He called Me back many times in so I could get home to have My prostate operation and I was late leaving the campground Pine lake in Sturbridge Ma. and they said no charge for leaving 4 hrs. later then checkout time.

I do not have the Lippert system, mine did not come with a leveling system so I had the Bigfoot system installed by Quadra manufacturing, love it.

I am on a Facebook group for Entrada owners and I see a lot of complaints on that page for the Lippert leveling system. So based on that page you are not the only ones having these issues with the Lippert system.

Have you tried contacting East to West Entrada directly? There are customer service contacts on their web page. They have been very helpful when I have reached out. Maybe they can help you expedite the parts?

Thanks. We've always worked through our dealer (where our RV currently sits) thinking they could expedite things better than we. They in turn work through Forest River. But we found out yesterday that after sitting 5 weeks at the dealer Forest River has done absolutely nothing to get the necessary parts coming our way. So, like last year, we've wasted weeks and weeks thinking FR was our advocate working on our behalf. Supposedly yesterday they've put in an "expedite request" to Lippert. And since we were 2 weeks past our one year standard warranty when the deployment of the jack occurred, we will have to pay our extended warranty deductible. frustrating as can be..... Thanks articcatbill

That is a total bummer, especially during the summer. I would try contacting East to West Entrada and see how they might help. They have been very responsive in the past:

Megan Hintz
Customer Service Representative
(574) 264-8051
mhintz@forestriverinc.com

Morgan Robinson
Retail Customer Service
574-264-8064
mrobinson@forestriverinc.com

You really do not have anything to loose, it might help to expedite the process of getting parts. Just share your issues with them. On our FB Entrada page:

https://www.facebook.com/groups/1187296581759267

Lisa Rees (CEO East to West) and Tony Young (General Manager at East To West RV Motorized Division) are a part of the page as well. They were more active earlier but I still see them reply to posts from time to time.

I had an issue I was troubleshooting one time and wasn't getting any help from the dealer. I sent Tony Young a snail mail letter with my email and cell number. He gave me a call as soon as he got the letter. He got a kick out of a snail mail letter. He helped me in the process and followed up later.

You shouldn't have to miss out on a camping season.
