Question 2017 Salem 26TBUD - Should I?

My wife and I are contemplating the purchase of a 26TBUD, primarily due to cost, layout, weight and length - each of which is perfect for us.

Any pros and cons of this unit (or Salems in general) would be extremely helpful and most welcome! TY!!!

I purchased my 26TBUD in June.
I'm also from PA.
We love it!

With the exception of a few minor issues which I consider lack of paying attention to details during the manufacturing.

It pulls nicely.
Power stabilizer and awning is awesome.
We do how ever get some movement even worth the stabilizers are down. Tire bounce I think.

Good to hear from someone with direct experience! I am really leaning towards this unit. Thus far, I've only seen photos, but hope to see one in person at the upcoming RV show in Hershey. Given its relatively low cost in comparison to other models, I was afraid there may be quality issues.

It definitely not the top of the line.
But it's very functional.
I had a sunline years ago which was top quality. Most TT today are mass produced.
Find the options you want.
All else falls into place.
We were sold on the 3 bunks.
The 27DBUD, was nice but the bath sink is on the outside of the bathroom.
That was a turn off for us.

Looking for a new RV or add ons? Does your TBUD have the showstopper package? (Premium option package?).

When on the road, the bathroom might not be accessible when the slide is closed....something to think about.

2017 forest river 26tbud

We just traded in our tbud found out there was water damage when we took to trade in. Talk about a shock. We did not see it. Learned alot. it cost us 4k to get out of it. We used it a lot. It is a very cheap made rv. I would not waste money on one. I would check out Keystone, thor, and KZ. If you can not afford those by an older travel trailer good brand. The 2016 to at least 2022 are very cheap made trailers. There are things I had to repair from the get go. I wish I had done more research and bought a better quality rv. If you buy a cheap rv, that is just what you get. For the record warranties do not cover water damage. Our daughter and husband have a heartland and are having the same problem. They have had 15 and 20 year old rvs with no problems. if you have a newer entry level trailer get it inspected every year at least.
