2021 Salem 29VBUD - Bad Fridge

So our first major issue (minus te flooding of the broken water line) is the 12 volt refrigerator. It quit working right before our last trip. I got it into the dealer and they were able to get the warranty claim submitted so parts could be ordered/shipped. We ended up using a cooler that weekend (that we had to buy, because we did not have one that large) to keep all of our food in.

So I took it back in Tuesday of this week to get the fridge replaced. New one works but you cannot control it.. the control board on the inside to control the coldness and on/off function does not work. So more parts are shipped (new control boards). Parts received today and install and still the same experiencing the same issue... Dealer is saying that it is a fridge problem and is waiting on FR to respond on what they want to do next...

How long should I expect this to play out for???

We luckily didn't have a trip planned for this weekend. But next weekend we were looking to book as we want to get some more use out of this before fall time.

Since this is a brand new rig, you might want to consider reaching out to Forest River customer service or warranty department. We are Forest River owners.

So our original fridge died after 2 trips with the trailer.

So new fridge ordered into replace, but a bad fridge was shipped.

Another fridge was shipped, that one worked, but couldn't be controled.

New control boards were shipped, no change in function (it was still out of control!).

Another fridge was shipped and that one is working as of now.

Trailer is back home now, will keep the fridge running for now for monitoring. Fingers crossed that this is the last issue we have.

A little annoyed though, they unplugged the trailer last night and left it run on the battery all night. So when I arrived to pick it up, I had a dead battery. So now I have to check on that and make sure it charges properly back up and holds a charge.
