241qbxl owners. Television size

I am picking up my 241qbxl Friday and shopping for a television for it.
The sticker inside with a faux tv says it will fit a 42 inch tv.
Can anyone confirm if this is true?

42" would most likely work. Personally I think it's a bit large for the given area. You would need to lower it down below the upper wall cabinet and then you would have to worry about someone hitting their head on it if anyone was sitting on that side of the dinette booth.

We had a 24" in our 171rbxl ( same "upper" wall area as your 241rbxl ) and it worked well for the size and spacing allowed. Nice picture for the size of the TT, not overbearing. I would worry about the wall not being able to hold it as well. Not much support in that wall backing. I had to beef up my wall area just for the 24" just for my own assurance.

I have a 42" LCD TV in my home and can't even imagine hanging that in my current TT. But, that's just my 2 cents.

How did you beef up your wall?

I took a piece of 3/8" plywood and measured it roughly 2" larger than the hanging bracket, on all 4 sides. Then I took contact paper that matched, as close as could be, to the TT wall and wrapped the plywood, then hung it with 4 short lag screws. All the while making sure not to protrude through into the bathroom side of the wall.

By doing this I was able distribute the hanging weight more securely across the thicker plywood instead of using just 4 screws into the flimsy wall.

Worked great. Never had to worry about the TV coming down while traveling.

Wife and I just picked up our 241QBXL last Saturday. We are looking at tvs too. We have sorta settled on a 28 inch smart tv. The 32 inch will fit between the cabinet and bathroom door trim. The 28 will center up a little bit better. I took the tv dimensions and measured the area. I personally like the 28 better.

Thank you.
I think I will try the 32 and return it if it's too much.

We had a 32" in ours (when we had it). It worked perfectly.
