CruiseLite Lift Kit Leaf Spring options

So I am looking to get a few more inches of height out of my cruise lite. I am occasinally rubbing when pulling in and out of places no matter how carefull I am. Based on my research it seems I have 2 options.

First is to buy a kit to move the springs to the top of the axle. It appears from what I read the spring plate should be welded, but wasnt sure if anyone else has done this and had anything to add.

Second option is to purchase the correct track kit, which will allow me to align the axles, but also will provide a few inches of lift. This kit is also more expensive and requires drilling new holes for the spring shackles.

Anyone done either of these and have any recommendations?
