Dometic Fridge

Ugh...Here we go again..
Inside fridge won't cool. The DC powered lights and display all work fine. I had some wiring issues in the trailer lately which have all been corrected. The fridge worked after all that was done. Now nothing. I pulled the cover off outside and there's 2 glass fuses there and they are both good. I am getting my 120v to the circuit board. I do not see any burned spots anywhere on the board. What can I check next?

That's suppose to say Dometic, not Domestic..

couple of questions what model of Dometic fridge do you have, does it work on propane? It may be that your heating element has burned out.

It is a Dometic DM2652LBX. Yes, it works on Propane and I was going to see if it worked on Propane, but guess what. Went out there this morning and the damn thing is working. I'm just scared for how long though. It also worked after I did all the rewiring, then quit.

There have been a few discussions about the defrost cycle on Dometic fridges. Seems like it lasts about 2 hours or so and then the fridge goes back to cooling. Maybe it was in defrost cycle when you checked it.

I don't think so. It was cooling fine, then for two days it was warm, and niw this morning cold again.

Did you check power to the heating element when it wasn't working?
Did the chimney area feel warm/hot to the touch when it wasn't working?

No sir, I didn't because it was working. I didn't check the chimney, but I had the gas selector off. I didn't even get to see if would work off gas. So far it's still going but these will be the first two things I'll be sure to check.

Turns out, it must have just been a continuation of the electrical gremlins I was having. I changed out the original travel travel trailer plug for the fridge to a standard house outlet and it has been working ever since. Thanks again everyone for your help!!

Glad it wasn't too hard to fix. Thanks for coming back and letting us know what it was.

I meant to post sooner, sir. But all I did was change the plug out. AND it was still showing that it was working prior when I used that fancy tester, so idk...but man, I was getting frustrated. Had to get my Metoprolol adjusted, hahaha!!
