Draining Water Tanks

I just bought a 2017 Salem Hemisphere 23rbhl. I see only one small water outlet sticking from the bottom of the camper. I assumed this is the low point drain. Shouldn't there also be a drain for the Fresh Water tank? There's another tube, right next to this one.. but no valve. Is this some kind of vent?

I remember other campers I have owned having two drains on the bottom. One red.. one blue.

Ok.. rethinking.. what I am seeing is probably the fresh water drain and an overflow tube for the freshwater tank.

So.. where are the low point drains?

Every RV I've ever had had TWO low point drains (hot and cold), plus one for the fresh-water.

I believe what you're seeing is going to be the fresh water drain plus the overflow for the fresh water. I'd think the two low point drains will be somewhere else, but I'm not familiar with your model. Hopefully someone else can be of a bit more help than me.

Also - on our 2017 Cardinal the low point drains are red and blue PEX tubes.

Yep... I think you are right.. I need to look closer for the red and blue capped drains.

It's fine here in the Salem sub-forum since you're asking for model-specific information.
You only have a 2 hour window to edit or delete. After that, you need to contact a moderator to do that.

Nice looking TT. Your 2017 might still have the small sticker showing you where to look. I don't have a Salem, but in terms of looking, I can tell you my low point drains were inside the frame rails covered in foam. There is a 'low point drain' sticker on my 2018 TT and I still couldn't see them without laying on my back.
Good luck.

We have a 16 Hemisphere but a different model so I can’t direct you to the exact spot, but I can tell you ours wasn’t easy to find either. They are tucked between the frame and the skirt. My guess is yours are too.
