Inverter question

I have a Hemisphere GLX 272RL. Has the Residential fridge that runs on eclectic only. Came with a inverter, Xantrex Freedom X 1200. Can I use this inverter to power the outlets in the bedroom? when off shore power? It seems to be only running the fridge now. Thanks

The inverter likely is wired ONLY to the fridge. If you can get to the outlets on the inverter then yes you can likely power other low-wattage appliances ( not a hair dryer)...

be aware that the inverter requires lots of DC battery power to make AC appliances work and is NOT a good way to power anything LONG-TERM as it will drain a standard battery quickly...

do some searching on youtube with inverter power as the search term and educate yourself on inverters... you did NOT do yourself any favors getting an AC only fridge unless you plan on plugging into shore power 100%

You can but will have to do some rewiring to make it work and hopefully the wiring to the bedroom is accessible somewhere to where you can cut into it and tie it into your inverter.

Are you looking to use CPAP machines in the bedroom?
If so, there are better ways than using the inverter.

thank you rsdata. we only ever boondock 1 to 2 nights from campground to campground. We have to batteries and so far the fridge didnt pull them down to much. Keeping the food cold during travel is ok as we can charge batts from plug. If we do boondock more than that it also has solar so we shall see. Thank you for you help

Get a 12-volt power module for your CRAP machine. It will be more efficient than any inverter and power supply combination.
