I have a 2016 Salem Cruiselite Model 241QBX. My awning drive motor failed due to water intrusion.
I took the motor apart and found an open connection at the mounting block where the brush braid connects. The block was rusty and the braid burned in half.
I plan to buy a replacement motor but will waterproof the housing better than factory. Hopefully I can get 3 or 4 years out of this Chinese motor. I thought of buying the Dorman 742-141 1994 Chevy Lumina window motor but it doesn't have the 7/16" nut to manually operate the awning in case the motor fails again.
