Light IN Refrigerator (CruiseLite)

I just replaced the light bulb inside the refrigerator 4 weeks ago and its burned out. I attempted replacing it with a new bulb, but it doesn't work. Any suggestions?

If it's like ours, if the door is open for any amount of time the light automatically goes off and will not come back on until the door is closed and opened again.

That happened to us, but I think it might be the switch or the light box. I don't know a thing about these things.
