looking for experience with durable cover

ADCO cover is just not durable. Just this week end we found the cover torn to pieces, after just 1 year 2 months of use. See the attached picture.
To me, the top part is just not strong enough to withold downward pressure of the rest of the cover, even though there are not sharp edges on the A/C . The A/C upper portion is just a dull plastic, not sharp edge whatsover.
Can somebody recommend better durable cover than ADCO ?
I feel dissapointed with ADCO, after spending nearly $300 on ADCO.

Back in 2014 we bought a PolyPro 3 Deluxe Travel Trailer cover by Classic Accessories for our previous TT. Used it 2 winters. Plan to use it this winter on our new Mini Lite. No problems yet. Seems well made.

Thank you Tigger,
I might add that my use of cover is more than typical RV owner.
Our daughter is in school, so at best we can only go 1 week at a time. 5 times a yearat most So most of the time the RV is in the storage covered.

Someone I worked with had two of them. Put one on over the other. As they started wearing he would rotate in a new one and throw away the one in worst shape.

I purchased a Goldline Cover from National RV. It cost $600+ and was supposed to be guaranteed for 5 years. My 5 year cover lasted about 16 months. To National's credit, they did replace my cover at no cost. However, they will only do that ONCE. Basically, I paid $600 for a cover that will probably last 32 months.
Next time I'll buy a cheapie and buy a new one every year.

The sun is brutal! Keep that in mind for those that don't cover their RV's!

I used an Adco for two years and only issue is sun fad. I put knee pads on the four corners of the trailer and threw a cheap Harbor Freight moving blanket on top of everything that stuck out of the roof. I stopped using it this year because we added a Florida room and it no longer fit.

This will be my 3rd winter using an Elements cover. No signs of wear yet. The first time I put it on I made a 1” tear due to not padding a sharp edge. I put a piece of Gorilla duct tape on both sides of the hole. It has not gotten bigger, original tape is still there. I would buy Elements again.

Have 013 on third cover first two were gold line nice covers but sun killed them in about year and the half gave. The CW elements brand a shot on the Berkshire
About 6 months still looks pretty good even if I only get two years out of it .its 30 per cent cheaper then the gold line and about 50 lbs liter
if I got just 3 years out of the element cover I be a happy camper
I do not think any cover is going to last 5 years unless it's inside a garage
No room at home so RV is in storage yard sun bakeing it 12 to 14 hours a day in summer many other RV,s around me none with covers on them they look real bad .real sad spend all that money. And to cheap to buy a cover

We recently bought an Elements cover with 3 year replacement plan from Camping World. If it tears for ANY reason they will replace it no questions asked for the next 3 years.

I bought an ADCO deluxe cover in March and is is already tearing holes all over and is very weak. Calling for a refund, probably a wait of time.

Question sort of related to the thread.....
I have a Salem Cruise light with total length of 22'. How difficult is it to put on and take off?
Thanks in advance.

I have a Palomino but they are all about the same. You do have to get on the roof. Anything with a sharp corner needs to be padded before covering. My wife and I can get the trailer covered in about 15-20 minutes. The Elements cover comes with a throw weight to get the straps under the trailer, definitely a time saver.

We bought a cover over two years ago from Empire Covers. Used it for two Michigan winters and will be using it again this winter. I put it on last year alone on a morning with no wind. Covering all the sharp edges, as you know, is critical. Ours shows a little wear in a couple of places but no holes or tears. I think we paid about 220 for it.

We purchased an Elements cover 3 years ago and its like new. Its on our motor home 6 months of the year, (over the winter) First year I neglected to take off the anti bellowing rings from the slides and it wore a hole through there on the one side. but it was an easy patch. Any sharp edges are covered by a cut up pool noodle and held in place with gorilla tape.

Would give this cover an A plus.

I used to cover our Lexi with an Adco cover. It lasted less than two seasons.
I believe Adco has a 2 year warranty. At least mine did, and when I contacted them, was told what I needed to do for a free one time warranty replacement.

If you have the original paperwork/receipts, contact them. Simple procedure, and they do not want the damaged one. All I paid was a $35 buck shipping fee for a $300 buck new cover.

Guess we are fortunate. We are in our 4th winter with an ADCO and only developed a small tear in one corner that I covered with duct tape. I think the secret is being aware of sharp corners and tightening it as tight as possible without tearing to avoid wind movement.....not sure, just has worked for me.

Don't know...sold it as soon as it came in. Only used a cover during winter months as the Lexi wasen't used during winter.
Used on a very regular basis now, and covering it is just a pain in the rear to put on and off.
Bought a 12' x 30' heavy duty tarp that I cover the roof of the Lexi with.
Goes on and off very easily, weighs less than 1/2 of a cover, and covers the entire roof and 1/3 the way down the sides.
