? Manual Slide Operation ?

2009 Salem 25RKS. I've searched everywhere, can't find the answer.
How do I manually operate the slide on this model?
There are no manual drive screws on the exterior of the trailer.
When the slide is retracted I can cram my head under the couch and see the motor. There is what appears to be a hex type drive.
This would almost sorta kinda be accessible when the slide is retracted. But can't see where or how I would access this "easily" if the slide were stuck out in the extended position. There is a skirting/trim panel under the couch. If I were to rip this off I might be able to get to the hex drive. Is this the way it works?
Thanks!

The 25 RKS looks like it has a "sofa slide", similar to mine. The slide is not flush with the floor, but sits up a foot or so above the floor. If that be the case, then the hex drive is probably the way you would manually operate the slide. You can unscrew the front trim panel from the sofa, and then get to the drive. I took off my trim panel, and used a hole saw to cut an access area in the trim panel. Forturnately, I have never had to manually operate the slide. I did try it to see how it worked, and it takes a bunch of turns to make that puppy move much at all.

Here is the directions on the Lippert sofa slide just in case you have that model: http://www.lci1.com/OwnersManuals/Sl...0Slide-Web.pdf

It does say to disconnect the electric before attempting to operate the slide manually.

I didn't get a slide manual with my new Surveyor, but found the manual online.

Glad that the info helped.

Our Salem has a small hole on the oppisite side from the slides for a hex socket to use to manually open or close the slides.
Hope this helps.

X2. You may or may not have received the drive tool when you purchased, but look on the opposite side for a hole in the skirting in the slide area that the tool goes into. Good luck!
