Hi. I had the same problem. And my measurements were same as yours. But when I researched custom mattress sizes, I found one called an Olympic Queen size, which measures 66 in x 80 in. I was able to find Olympic Queen size LUCID 2 inch foam mattress topper and padded mattress pad on Amazon. We bought both, they fit perfectly. Now the bed is so comfortable. We have a Sleep Number bed at home and this two toppers really made all the difference. I don't really post here ever, so I hope the link works. Good luck!
We stored the stock mattress in the house and bought a $600 (really thick) foam Cal-King mattress from Costco.
I took a serrated long bladed kitchen knife and gently sawed off a little extra on the sides without affecting the integrity of the mattress.
A year later with lots of use, it still works great!
The thick Costco mattress does the trick.
Is that considered a "short" king? We have a "short"queen which perfect cloud sells on Amazon.
The mattress we purchased (for the RV) was for a regular bed in the house. We have a Novaform 14" Comfort Grande Cal King Memory Foam Mattress from Costco that I cut the sides down. I didn’t trim the end, because my husband wanted the regular length.

Found an easy way to trim down the memory foam on mine by using an electric knife.

Y’know....your mattress probably looks a lot more professionally done than mine! I thought about using a hacksaw or a saws-all, but was pressed for time.
The electric kitchen knife is a clever trick.
