Question Plumbing Diagram/Schematic

I have a 2005 Salem LE. The previous owner cut the water hose from the city water to the tank. I can't seem to track down where it goes after the inlet. Is anyone aware of a plumbing schematic from the manufacturer that would help me find the connection?
Thanks!

Unfortunately there are virtually no schematics nor diagrams from any of the Towable divisions.
Only the Motorized divisions will provide such documentation.

You can try contacting the Salem division and ask but be prepared to be disappointed.
There also no resource for such documentation.

If you posted the model number, maybe someone who owns the same model can help.

Moved thread from the Tech and Repair section to the TT/5th Wheel section's Salem sub-forum since the OP is asking for model-specific information.

Normally the city water on a Salem would not go to the fresh water tank. There should be a separate fill to the tank.

The fresh city water fill would just go into the water system itself...... To sinks, toilet , shower(s) . It would stop at the check valve to the water pump.

Normally the fresh water line is Tee'd into the cold water line after the pump. The water pump should not be used when connected to city water.

I found a line that runs from the city water hookup towards the back, in a completely opposite direction of all the water using appliances. Does it possibly connect back there somehow?
I appreciate all the input!

the fresh water tank and city water inlet are really NOT connected
they are separated by valves etc

so that water from the city connection can not get past the pump and go into the tank
yellow one-way valve

Tank water is pressurized by the pump and the green one-way valve stops it from coming out the city water connection point

you have 2 water inputs ..
the tank filler (NOT pressurized) water from tank is pumped into the same line as city water.... the city water input can be at the opposite end of the system
it will still work the same

If you are seeing cut or loose hoses... this could be for the
winterizing antifreeze intake
water heater bypass system ... previous owner may have modified that
low point drainage hose so you can empty the water lines for storage

So, the 2 hoses I see hanging down are for draining both water systems?
Or was this a modification? If you may know.

The two hoses under the camper are to drain the water system for winterizing. There should be another to drain the fresh water tank as well. Look at the fresh water tank as a secondary water source for when you are not hooked up to city water.

Underneath the RV, there should be two low-point drains - one for hot water and one for cold water. Perhaps post some pictures of the lines you think have been cut.

I can't find a cut line, but the previous owner says he did. The city water ends at a hose connector about 18" long, it is by the shower but I cannot find what it would connect to.
It is on the opposite side of the unit from the pump. A ways away.

Hard to say with out seeing what you have. The pump and the fresh water tank are not needed for city water.

So when hooked to city water hose where does the water go?

After the water pump (not needed for city water) there should be a "t" connection for the city water to connect to the water system. Should be on cold water side.

Did the previous owner not use the city water?

Is there something not working that you're trying to fix? When connected to city water, do you have running water at all of your taps in the RV? Likewise, when there is water in your freshwater tank and the pump is on, are all the taps working with the city water line disconnected?

When connected to city water, the water just runs out of the hose. Everything works when using the freshwater tank.
I need to find where it connects to the cold water line, but the inlet is on the opposite side of the unit ftom the pump. So there needs to be a line going to the "tee" fitting I need to find.

Water is running out of which hose? The low point drain?

If there is a tee, and if it is located where the winterization valve and antifreeze pickup hose is located, then that should be behind a service panel somewhere. So, I'd start looking for any panels, inside or outside, that can be opened by removing screws, etc. in the direction you think this line is running. For me, I have one service panel inside the pass-through storage compartment held by two screws, and another one at the other end of the RV, inside, that is a removable panel on a finished bathroom cabinet.

So the main city water hose is cut once connected water runs out of the cut hose. Now track down your water pump there should be a connection there to hook city water hose into. Later RJD

x2

You actually can T into anywhere on your cold line after the water pump if you can not find where it should be.

I can not guess why the previous owner cut the line other that a possible leak.

possible that the city water input had a faulty one way valve
so water could leak out of the city connection, when using water pump

I would have just put some sort of end cap on the city input

IF this happens while you are remote ... attach your water hose KINK it and use some duct tape to hold the kink
Turn on pump only when you want water ...

Agree with others just find a good spot to add a "T" on the cold side
You can use a shark bite or similar to join the PEX

---------------------------------------------------------------
Tank drain....
My drain looks like the gray/black waste connection .... BUT it is white
allows tank to be drained in a couple of minutes

Low point drains looks like PEX pipe with a valve on end

Update with pictures

Sorry it has taken me a bit to get back to you all.
I have attached pictures. The first is the city water inlet. This is on the left (drivers) side of the camper. That is the entire length of it. It enters through the hole and is under the shower plumbing. There is nothing that I can find that it would connect to. My thoughts are the connection should be nearby.
The second picture is of the water pump under the vanity sink on the left side of the camper. The white hose comes out of the water pump and circles back to the cold water line that goes to the sink and beyond. The larger diameter white hose is the filler hose for the holding tank.
Clear as mud right!?!
Thanks for everyone's help and input thus far!
