Refrigerator says check

Should be auto and switch to
Propane automatically if we have no hookups.... Our battery is low as expected and although I have manually set it to gas, it still says check. Any suggestions? Salem 32bdhs

Thanks!

How low is your battery? Refrigerator needs 12 vdc. to run even on LPG.

X2. Hook up your tow vehicle 7-pin plug and run the vehicle for a while for a slow charge. For faster, hook jumper cables to the batteries (pay attention to pos and neg to not hurt your tow vehicle!) and run at 2000 Rpm's for about 30 minutes.

Also I believe the check will come on at least it did with my 2006 Salem if the propane didn't light with in 3 attempts
I always had to "bleed" the line by lighting the stove if we had not used it in a while then fridge would lite usually first attempt
Just been my experience as well.

+1, light the stove and then anything downstream of the fridge, if there is anything, on your model.
