Salem Cruise Lite 195BH TV mount

Hi everyone,
I'm a TT rookie and just bought a 2015 cruise lite. It does not have a TV location. Does anyone know if this model has a pre-defined location for the tv mount that the factory allocated? I understand the walls are thinner and they don't have studs like out traditional home walls.

Also is there a best place to run a coaxial cable to the outside from the tv mount location?

We have a 195BH also that didnt come with a tv. we mounted a bracket on the wall at the end of the bed next to the door. this allows everyone to see the tv as well as it is out of the way. i ran our cable under the trailer and mounted a junction box at the end of the bed. the cable runs in the conduit back to where yhe shore cable come out. right now i pull the cable out if the same hole as the shore cable but i'm in the process of mounting a permanent hookup up box on the outside of the trailer. For the trailers that have tv's installed from the factory they mount over the extra counter on the wall. the trailer does have studs but they are about half the width of a normal stud. I used a stud finder to mount our tv racket and used screws that came with our mount. If u want some pics i'll take some if u like. we ended up with a 24" led vizo from walmart

Yes, please show me some pictures. I also wanted to mount the tv in the same location as yours. And funny thing is, i got a tv that is 24 inches with a DVD from best buy too.

As for the coaxial cable, did you have it exposed along the wall to the TV? Also can you take a picture of how you ran the cable as well? And how you ran it to the shore cable box?

Thanks!
Tom

Great, can't wait for the pics.

How did you get the coaxial cable to run along the walls to where the TV is hung? I thought the walls had insulations and is not hollow.

I am going to move the cable from where the shore pine comes out to up inder the trailer. Also i added a reinforced bed frame since ours was cracking so the board originally wasnt there when i installed the blue junction box. i just drilled through the floor and resealed with caulking. i unhooked the retaining rings on the conduit that hold it under the trailer so i could run the cable in the conduit. then i reinstalled the retaining rings

Mine is on a swivel mount next to the microwave and the blue-ray is attached with Velcro to the counter below. Used a cord track to control the wires. Swivels to be visible from anywhere including the bunks.

wall mounting acc.

Hi

I am fussy when it comes to attaching anything to a trailer wall as i am concerned about structural integrity. So when it came to mounting coat hooks and a medicine cabinet i knew what i wanted to do but wasn't sure how i would hide it. thats where my wife the "crafty one" comes into play. I will let the pictures speak for themselves. let me know your thoughts. thanks

Do you got any details on this mount and more pictures? I just purchased the same RV and would like to copy your ideal.

Did you mount on the wall or the cabinet? Does that location allow it to swivel to been seen from the bunks and your bed?

Wish I'd done some pics but its too late now. A very simple install though. I got this mount from Walmart. Looks like its no longer available but similar ones are out there. I removed the microwave, drilled holes in the side of the cabinet and used large washers on the inside to assure the bolts wouldn't pull through. One year and many miles later i have no issues at all. The TV folds flat against the outside wall and I use a cushion between the wall and TV to assure there is no damage from vibration during transport.

I'm doing this same install. So by mounting to through the cabinet it's strong enough to hold the TV?

How did you hang the medicine cabinet and coat rack on the wall? I didn't think there were studs in these?

Yes, no issues for me. The TV is swiveled toward the outside wall and fastened back with an elastic strap that has Velcro on the ends when traveling. I used large washers inside the cabinet to distribute the load, what little there is. I wouldn't mount a large TV like this but mine is so lightweight and the upper cabinet is designed to support the fairly heavy microwave and whatever you can store above the stove. I only put lightweight items above the burners and have no concerns at all.

What size TV did you use? I've got a 20" but would like to go to a 24" if possible.

Mine is a 20" but if I wanted a 24" I'd weigh them or look at the manufacturer's specs cause the weight difference may be minor.

I already have the cable hookups wired to the spot above the counter. So it would be easier to install close to that I think.
