We are having an issue with excessive heat coming in the RV.
It is the summer time and the outside temps are in the high 90's/low 100's. So we are not using the furnace.

Heat is coming up from the hole in floor of the cabinet where the furnace is. It's the hole that the ducts go through. The hole is fairly large.

How do i seal it to prevent that excessive heat from coming in the RV?

We have the same issue with the closet in the bedroom that has a joining wall with the bathroom. There is a fake wall that the washer butts up to. Behind that wall is a large opening that massive amounts of heat is coming in from.

Any solutions on how to prevent the heat from coming in? Or cold in the winter?

Below are pictures of the closet and I could not get pictures in the cabinet where the furnace is.Click image for larger version

One way would be to stuff the holes with stainless steel wool, not steel wool as it will eventually rust. Then fill the holes with some rodent resistant spray foam. https://www.amazon.com/GREAT-STUFF-P...s%2C225&sr=8-5

Did you ever figure out a fix for this? I am having this exact same issue. If you found a fix for this can you please share the fix? Thanks.

Since this thread is 3 years old and the person you're asking hasn't posted on the Forum for 3 years, I suggest that you send them a PM. They may not be active anymore.

The best we could do was to stuff insulation (pink fiberglass insulation) in the holes. We also put a small fan in the closet that is on the joining wall with the bathtub. It helps but still gets warm. Hope this helps, at least a little, for you.

Thanks for the follow up nduszynski. I had thought about the fiberglass insulation. I am trying Reflectix to see if it helps. I stapled it around the opening and can easily remove it if I need to.
