Slide out

This issue is new to me. Slide out won't go in all the way on one side. It's been doing this for awhile and I just lived with it. Now sometimes when I pop it out, one end doesn't go very well out. Not sure what to do but I'm home now and need to get it sealed before rain starts tomorrow.

Thanks!

Can you bring it in manually for now?

I'd probably just take it to the dealer. Which camper model, year, and maybe some pics would help.

The slide should not leak regardless of position though, right?

I don't believe the seals make contact though but could be wrong. I'll look at doing it manually but I may move it to the backyard and leave it open. Any issues with temp storing with the slide out?

It's a 2012 forest river Salem hemisphere lite.

Thanks!

I was pushing to try to get it in equally on both sides and this is as far as it goes. I was exhausted yesterday when we got back after cleaning it up so I'll check again tonight

Not sure of your slide mechanism, but there are YouTube videos pertaining to the " retiming and synchronizing" of TT slide-outs motors. This may be all that is wrong. I have attached a couple links to the videos for you. There are other good tutorials on YouTube of the slide-out operations as well.

Perfect! Is it supposed to be lubed! I'll try that shortly

Also, do you only lube on the rails on the sides of the slide out? Does anything beyond the plastic on the bottom need to be lubed?

Thanks a ton guys!

On another video it is suggested to spray the rails with white lithium grease spray. When spraying, making sure to wipe away any that runs down the slide. Spraying the rails in this manner also lubes the motor mechanisms as well. They say it doesn't require but a small amount of white greased applied.
And only twice a year is what was suggested as a recommendation.

Right on!! You guys are super helpful! Gotta pick up some dry lithium tomorrow and give it a shot. The dry with teflon did good for awhile but the last time I tried it, it went out of sync but I got it out for temp storage and the upcoming rain. I hear rubber gripping on it and it's certainly not as fas as that last video but it had the same rails.

Good info guys! Really thought I messed something up! The dealer here locally is so backed up with maintenance requests they are like 2 months out. Crazy busy!
