Excuse my lack of knowledge here as the answer is probably obvious. And would a ground connection loose somewhere cause two things to stop working with buttons but not remotes?

Shore power is normally routed to the converter/charger and then the output is routed to the battery, then routed from the battery to the resettable breakers then to the devices you're having trouble with, so being on shore power won't power those devices if the breakers are tripped.
It's possible. In reversing DC motors both positive and negative are ran between the switch/relay and motor. However they could also run a separate negative to the remote receiver, so it would be possible for a loose negative/ground to prevent the manual switches from operating the devices, but allow the remote to operate them.

Update. I found one of these below wasn’t getting current through it, ran to the store and bought a replacement. Put it together. Pressed the stabilizer button and I heard the sound of it kicking in for about half a second and then it stopped. Nothing after that. Retested that fuse, it’s good. So now I’m really puzzled. Tested battery and got 13.6 going through it (camper plugged in)

After the breaker cools it will have continuity. Look for a short in the wire that has the breaker.

So are you saying a short kicked it out again? And then it takes a second to reset fully?
Stupid question but if so, what am I looking for with a short?

That is what I think. Not sure how its wired but if it started and then tripped there's a short the somewhere.Tracing wire is where you start. Could be in motor but start with simple stuff first. If motor is binding it could cause this. If wire is good test motor. Check the entire wire run to motor for pinch or worn insulation. Check ground wire too and any connectors. good luck.

Did the breaker you bought have the same amp rating as the old one?
The one in the picture is a 30 amp unit.

Do your stabilizers work with your remote? It only pops the breaker when you use the switch?

Yeah they work with the remote, so does the slide. Neither with switches. I’m working on it right now. I’ve now checked every breaker and fuse and ground connection I can find. Only thing I can think of is that it would be a relay, which I have 4 of, if that’s even possible. Not sure what relays do.

UPDATE: after many hours spent troubleshooting, I took the unit into the dealer. At 130 dollars per labor hour I was thankfully charged only 125 dollars to reset the remote circuit board which had it locked to only work with the remote. Something forest river service said sometimes happens. Thanks for all the help and support!

Said they had to do a reset with the remote control somehow, and then they reprogram.

Thanks for coming back and letting us know what it was.
I believe that that's the first we've heard of the receiver being locked to remote only operation.
