stabilizing jack question: 2013 Salem Cruise Lite 195BH

When the trailer is parked we're using these amazing steel wheel chocks that I was referred to via this board - thank you!

I want to add stabilizer jacks, and purchased some scissor jacks. We realized after trying to install them that this would be a better job for the dealer. The appointing is for another week.

I noticed on our last camping trip that there are steel triangles hanging down from the rear of the trailer and think those might be there for a different kind of stabilizing jacks. I forgot to take a pic of our trailer, but found this one on the web. Notice the steel triangles in the rear underside of the trailer.

What are those there for?

Those are for protecting your trailer frame from dragging on pavement eg: when backing in a steep driveway, these will drag on pavement instead of your frame. Some has actual small wheels attached to it...

If I ever upgrade my chocks I will be sure to take a good look at the ones you have. Seems like a really good set.

It's not cheap but I have no regrets having the dealer/service department install my stab jacks.

We had our first trip this past weekend with the stabilizer jacks (installed by the dealer) and it made a significant difference in the "wobblies".
