Thermostat Wiring Location

2020 Salem 28-FKV
Seems the assembly plant has driven a screw into my wire harness running from the furnace to the thermostat and back.
Took the TT back to the dealer last fall and they found a dead short. There was an extra wire in the harness that was not being used so they just swapped to that wire. Opened it up for the season Friday and blew the fuse in the thermostat just like last fall. NO HEAT
What I would like to know is does the wire harness run up to the roof or does it run in the floor?
Dealer is 63 miles away and they do not run service truck this far... so I am sure I will have to drag it back to them to get it fixed under warranty AGAIN.
Thinking if the wires are in the roof I may want to relocate them myself to the floor so that I do not have them at the dealer totally tearing down my ceiling to fix it. Guessing the ceiling will never be the same if they have to do that!
Thanks in advance

So they “fixed it” but didn’t test it? You need a new service location.

No they tested it and it worked last fall for the last 2 weekends we camped.
But had the same exact issue this past weekend.
Will be contacting them tomorrow...

The furnace thermostat wiring is most likely running overhead to the A/C unit. However it could be ran under the floor but that's not normal.

They normally run the furnace wiring to the A/C and then run a multiconductor cable from the A/C to the thermostat. If it's a Dometic A/C and thermostat, then the furnace wires have to run from the furnace to the A/C because that's where the control relay for the furnace is.

Which Furnace, A/C and Thermostat do you have?
Can you post a picture of the wiring at the thermostat? Is it one cable or two?

Bama that sounds correct, I do have 2 cables to the thermostat
Do not remember what thermostat or AC unit I have but the furnace is a Suburban SF-25

If you have two separate cables running to the thermostat, it possibly a Coleman thermostat and the furnace cable could be ran either overhead or underfloor. You'll have to do a little investigating to determine which way it's ran.

I did just find out it is Coleman AC and thermostat, so I am hoping I can do just that.
Running a new cable under the floor would make a lot of sense to me.
Thanks Bama!
