Thinking of buying 2002 Salem 32BH..

Hello all. We have 4 kids ages 2, 4, 5.5 & 13. We are looking at an '02 Salem 32BH.. we need the 4 bunks and queen bed layout . It has newer tires and new brakes last year. He also had to seal the roof in the right rear corner. There was a small leak and you see inside a very small spot where it came in. Everything seems to be working. He had it all running when we got there. He's asking $6,500.

What are some issues to expect with a 9 year old trailer? Is his price high? right? low?

We've also tossed around getting newer and putting couple thousand down and financing.. but I HATE financing!

Thanks all so much,
Alex and family

Price doesn't sound bad. There are sites (nada, etc.) Where you can look up the value.

Tires are very important, as they need to be replaced every 7 years.

The leak would bother me. A small leak can produce big damage over time. The damage may not be completely visable for years. Find out when he patched the leak and search for evidence of rot or soft wood.

Good luck!
