Water Valve on 2012 Salem Hemisphere 346QBUD

Hello I recently purchased a 2012 Salem Hemisphere 346QBUD and I am wondering what the white valve in the following attachment is for. Do I need to have this valve open when I am out camping. I am new to rv's could someone please let me know. I know that the red valve above it is for bypassing the hot water tank. It is the other valve I am not sure what it is for. The unit is still winterized and the valve is closed. I want to get it ready for summer soon, so I will be adding water to the system once I have water in should the lower white valve be open or closed.

Couldn't help but notice that you have a Salem too. Salems are great trailers. Wish I knew more about that handle in question but 'm sure someone will drop by and answer your questions.

Take care,
Terie

water valvle

I believe that is the fresh water tank valve. In order to 'load' the camper with fresh water, a hose must be hooked up to the fresh water connection and the valve opened. That will allow the tank to be filled.

If you're using a city water connection, I.e. a water spigot provided by your campground, leave the valve closed and connect the hose to the city water connection.

Good luck!
