2021 38FKOK Questions

Just closed yesterday on this unit and the tech guy was stumped by a couple of things. The panel has a switch for the holding tank heaters and it lights up, but he thinks it did not come with the heaters, and I thought it did. Would it light up if there are no heaters? Other than waiting to see if the tanks freeze, is there a way to check to see if I have the heaters? Is there a way to check, by VIN, what exactly came in my RV?

Also, does anyone know the weight limit of the TV arm in the living room area?

As we get acquainted with this I will no doubt have more questions.

For these questions, I would reach out to Sandpiper directly. Their Contact Us information is on the Forest River website.

Did you buy this trailer new ? If so check the option sheet if not contact the company and let them run the vin they should tell you every option that was installed.

Thats a good question. I have the 2019 same model and no tank heaters. Friends of mine just bought the 2021 version and has everything you described. Of course the tech said oh yeah it has tank heaters because there is a button here for them kinda like when i asked him if there was a filter in the water filter outside he said ohhh yeah theres a filter in there its a brand new camper. Well i grabbed the build sheet and nothing listed for tank heaters and then i went outside and unscrewed the water filtration holder and yep you guessed it no water filter..... only way to really know is drop the bottom from the camper and see if the pads are on the tank... since the build sheet said nothing about my friends having tank heaters we are assuming there is none.

Just read your query, and responses. Did you ever find out? If yes, then how did you find out?

As we bought ours in the spring and I was not particularly worried about it during the summer I never followed up to find this out. I should do so in the near future since, winter is coming...
