32qbbs

Looking at upgrading to a Sandpiper 32QBBS. Any thoughts on hitch? I am looking at the Pullrite Sidewinder, as I have a short bed truck. Anyone have this 5er or similar? With design of camper nose, is the clearance there for turns?

I have a 2011 2500 HD short bed with a 2012 Sierra 32qbbs. I don't have a slider hitch. I have the B&W companion hitch. I don't have any problems turning. You cannot turn the camper 90 degrees, but i have not had any problems getting around tight campsites. I love the B&W hitch.

How sharp of a turn can you make? How much does the trailer squat the rear? I have same truck.

I don't know exactly how far you can turn it, but i have never been in a place where the camper even come close to the cab of the truck. My truck has factory tires and sits higher in the back from the factory. When the camper is hooked up the truck sits level. See pic below.

I have the Pullrite slider hitch on a short bed F250. Works great. 365SAQ never gotten close to cab. Best hitch you can get for a short bed p/u.

Shane1234, have you thought or heard of anyone that has used the 4 inch extender that BW makes?

You said no turning issues in previous chat. Was that using the 4 inch extender with companion?

No. The companion goes into the hitch in the bed. You cannot use any extender with the companion hitch.

You can adjust the companion hitch 2" forward and 2" back. I have mine set in the lowest setting and 1" Back.
