Kept falling down the stairs from bedroom
Since buying our 381RBOK in April my wife, daughter and I each had fallen down our inside stairs from the Master Bedroom to the Living Room. We took our unit up to Sandpiper to have the A/C rebuilt and we discussed the issue with the plant manager. He reviewed and we advised that the steps were different sizes. While there they removed our steps and install larger and all the same steps. Additionally they added a LED light and switch. This resolved the problem. Since the change no falls. The plant manager has called us asking if the fix worked and we reported yes. He advised us they made a change since learning of the issue and now all steps are larger and equal. If you are falling or slipping off the step treads, then give Sandpiper a call and ask for a repair. Or come to the Frogger event and make sure it is on your list of needed repairs. Awesome team and support from Sandpiper.

Was it Marshall Hamm that called you? He's a good guy and always took care of me when I had my Sierra.

Hmm. Replied to you in the A/C thread too. I never noticed if our 16 stairs were different sizes. I'll go look right now. And YES I've fallen down them on several occasions.

Our lower stair is larger than the upper stair, however if you take into account the unusable portion of the stair because of the over hang of the upper on the way down they're essentially the same size it would seem to me. I think it was more a case of me not paying attention to what I was doing on the way down. Not the A/C that's a WHOLE different ball of wax. 92* outdoor temps and 78* indoor temps in the living / bunk areas is unacceptable. By their stated 20* cooling 72* shouldn't be an issue.

Yes it is Marshall Hamm and he is awesome. I found that when I come to him with an issue in a spirit of safety and cooperation and he is very willing to help. A great guy that cares for both the client and the company.
The stairs are wood, but having both with the same size has ended our falling. I thought my falls were due to my clumsiness, but when my entire family each fell twice, I saw the size issue and reported it.
I am learning more and more about the A/C, and agree that the hotter it is outside the harder to cool. I am pleased that the new design Marshall installed is working well. I will also add that they replaced the vents with new adjustable outlet vents that allows us to control the front A/C unit to direct air to the back, and air in the back bathroom to the center. This assisted the effort of a more balanced system of airflow.

Uneven stairs
We also have uneven stair heights going to the master bedroom and they do not have any stair lights which compounds the issue. No one has actually fallen yet, but stumbling on these stairs is a common issue and sooner or later someone is going to get hurt.
I'm headed to the dealer's on Monday for a slide out issue and I'm going to register it as an issue to see if I can get it repaired as well.

Manufacturer should be very cooperative in fixing this issue. Steps have to be close to 7" rise and min. 11" tread, all steps the same. Huge liability for them if injured.

Brad2388, yes, our unit is a 2017 model, but the key is that the tread size was different on each step. Making then the same is a good solution. Adding an LED light too.
Mine was covered, but if it is not covered by warranty, it is worth it to pay for the fix. Cheaper than fixing broken bones...
