slide operation question

We have a 2018 Sandpiper 379flok with six slides and 3 rocker switches to operate them. How does that work

I don't want to sound like a jerk but where were you when the seller/rv store did the pdi on your rig? The panel should tell you and be marked in/out or extend/retract. Connect to shore power and find out which switch/rocker does what.

slides

We did a virtual walk through since we were in ca and the rv in az. We asked about the 6 slides and three switches but got side tracked and didn't get back to it. We'll call the dealer on Monday if no one has an answer before that.

We have 4 slides on our 2018 372LOK. The one switch operates all 4 slides, first the bedroom, then the mid-bunk area, then the kitchen and then the opposing side with the outdoor kitchen and fireplace.

When the unit gets to you, make sure you have 3 ft on each side of the unit, plug it in and see which one works which slide.

We also have a 379FLOK with 6 slides and 3 rocker panels. There has to be away that they only work certain slides. It seems that one would/could work all 6 but what if I only want the bedroom slide out or the kitchen slides..... I Need to figure out which ones work which slides.

Those RV's have hydraulic slides and one switch works all the slides at once. Due to weight, friction and inertia they usually move one at a time, but they pressure is supplied to all the rams at the same time.

In your cases if I remember correctly, any one of the three switches can operate the slides. If you wish to operate one slide independently of the rest you have to access the manifold at the pump and close off the valves you don't want to operate.

It is possible that you have 4 hydraulic slides and a couple of electric slides. We have three hydraulic and two electric. Each electric slide has its own switch and then the third switch controls the other three hydraulic slides. Easy to figure out which switch operates which slide. Just turn on a switch and see what moves. As stated earlier the hydraulic slides will all be interconnected and you cannot operate less that all of them without closing some valves on the hydraulic manifold.

We have a 2020 379FLOK, same set of rockers (or rather buttons, but presumably same concept). One rocker controls forward port slide out; another rocker controls forward starboard slide out; the third rocker controls the remaining 4 mid and aft slide outs (yep...all four of them). But wait a second...am I in an RV or a cruise ship!!?

sandpiper 379flok slides

So we figured out the slide controls. One does one side living room, second one does other side living room, third one does the last 4 slides typically bedroom slides and then kitchen...
next question, how do you know if they are hydraulic or not? we were plugged into shore power, went to put slides in and one kitchen slide came in but then everything stopped and lights went out. come to find out battery was dead so once we jumped it off the truck everything worked as normal.

I’m guessing at this, but I think it is correct. Those slides that have a dedicated switch will be operated bt an electric motor. Go look at them and see if they have a motor, probably at the top. The other four that are all operated by a single switch will be hydraulic. You can verify by extending them and then looking under the slide. You’ll see a hydraulic ram that operates them. Go verify so you know for sure.
