Tow Vehicle: 371REBH

What are towing your 371REBH with?

What brand/model hitch?

If had to buy again (TV or Hitch) what would you get?

2015 Ram 3500 Mega Cab 4x4 Cummins SRW. B &W Companion in the factory puck system. Tows flawlessly through Smokeys several times. Wouldn't change a thing.

I haven't pulled mine yet. Hitch gets installed tomorrow and I pick up trailer Saturday at dealer 100 miles away. I'll find out. I have a 6' bed but stayed with the fixed instead of slider

Regarding a slider:

It is not true that you must have one with a short bed. I have a 2015 Ram mega cab. It only comes in a short bed. I did a lot of research before deciding on a fixed B & W Companion. Not a slider. I am easily able to turn over 90 degrees. Obviously it is something that I have in the back of my head while backing, as uneven terrain and slopes can change cab to trailer clearance. I have maneuvered the 44 foot trailer through some tight State Parks and popular campgrounds. So far I have never got in to a position that I needed to stop because I was going to make cab/trailer contact.

I think the shape of the caps on the newer trailers are cut back so it eliminates the risk

Well "thinks" cost me $650 cab repair with my 2015 Silverback smacking the cab and MISSING THE SLIDER WINDOW BY 1 INCH!! 2008 2500 Dodge, Mega Cab. I made a tight U turn in a Kroeger parking lot.
Be VERY CAREFUL what you THINK is OK😩. I know I will be more alert next time.

I went with the Reese 1600k fixed with a six foot bed and have plenty of room to turn without getting close to the cab
