2013 to 2016 365saqb owners A\C question

For you guys that have 2 units that are ducted, but before they started using the wisper quit A\C how does your units do cooling. I have a 2017 with the new style A\C which doesn't cool very well. I was just wondering if the older style system with the return vents under the A\C worked better. Does your A\C run all day or is it able to cycle on and off and what temps are you able to keep your camper at when its in the middle to high 90's.

Ours does pretty good I think. We have a 2013 with a 15k in the living room and a 13.5 in the bedroom. We generally keep the thermostat set to 70(ish) and can maintain pretty well. We spent some time in Floriday this past October and while our site has some shade we did get full sun throughout the day one way or another. Temps were in the mid to high 80's with about 198900% humidity and both AC's were able to cycle off during the day.

Thanks I'm considering trying to go back to the older style system because i have the 15k whisper quiet and the 13k in the bedroom. Mine will run all day long until it gets down to about 80 or under at night and that is with the main set on 72 and the front on 67. Setting at 67 is the only way to keep the front one on in the middle of the day without it cycling off. Living area will get up to 80 or more if Temp is in the 90s

Welcome to the crappy a/c club! Look at the threads, there are guys putting in a 3rd a/c in the rear of the coach that are reporting good outcomes. There's a guy that just posted that the plant manager had him bring his 17 up to Goshen to rip the roof apart and reduct it. Said it's a "bad design" on the 2017s. Um yeah I think it was a bad design for the 16s too. Waiting on him to be a middle man with the plant manager so I can get a phone call from said plant manager about my 16.

Mine won't cool the main cabin and bunk house below 78* with a 92* ambient temp outside. The master bedroom however will get into the mid 60s and hold about 65 while trying to help out the main a/c but it still won't get below 78* in the main cabin.

Any idea what they are doing to reduct it. Are they moving the placement of the AC units or just changing the duct work itself. Looks like the brand new ones have main AC at the back and use the center return again. Also where is that thread at. I'd like to read it thanks for the info.

No idea what they did but the middle man said that he got emails from FR Monday and they'd be contacting everyone on this thread that had issues. http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...le-115262.html
