365SAQ Question

I have a 2014 365SAQ with an issue I hope someone can give me some info on how to solve. When I turn the fan on in the bathroom to shower or whatever a sewer smell comes from inside the cabinet under the sink and I have even smelled it coming from under the back bathroom when the fan is on in the front bathroom. I looked under the sink and it appears there is a sewer vent pipe coming off the sink drain line in both bathrooms that stops under the sink with a vent cap on it. Is this in fact a vent pipe? How do I correct the issue. See picture below of the pipe I spoke about. Thanks.....

Yes, that is a vent pipe for the bathroom. It is there to make sure the bathroom sink and shower drain without any problems. Once I started using an odor control for the black tanks, it really cut down on what we smell when the fan is in operation. Really the only smell we get now with the fan on is when the toilet is flushed and drawing large amounts of air from the toilet.

It is called an air admittance valve, see link below for more info. You might have to change it if it does not seal properly.

It's also commonly called a "bar vent", and can be found at any home improvement store. This is not an RV only fixture.

I would confirm that the sick is plumbed to the grey tank. You should not get black tank odors from a gray tank. Are your outside dump vavles closed? I have heard some stories of people leaving the gray vavles open and getting sewer odors.

Grey tank odor control works really well in hot temps. And it's available at Wally World.

The half bath sink on a 365saq is plumbed into the black tank, which is not uncommon.
