Golfmedik,

I agree with you 100% I think I posted in a much earlier thread somewhere I wondered why not go with triple axles on something this big, but people replied acting like I was loosing my mind. I also have one of the first 2012 styled just like yours (Personally, aside from the kitchen upper cabinets above the counters being redesigned, I don't care for the new configuration). We picked ours up after special ordering it in August 2011. I should have asked about the axles to see if we could upgrade. I have just over 1,000 pounds carrying capacity, so slightly more then you but not by much. I didn't get the solid surface countertops, maybe if you did that is the difference. I did do the second AC, and then I added the GE Duet front load washer and dryer, so that cut me down right off the 1000 to start with. I also think it's dumb that I traded a 2006 Montana on this unit. It slept 4 and held 70 gallons water, this sleeps 12 and holds 55. Go figure. I added an additional 30 gallon tank, so I know I am over especially with all our furnishings. I was looking at the Montana's last week trying to figure out why they can carry so much more. Since I plan on keeping this unit, I may just bite the bullet and spend the cash to upgrade the axles. I want to ditch the China tires anyway, so why not get a plan together. Will have to get some pricing and see if it is worth it. Will post back.

I did not go with the solid surface counter tops in this unit. We had them in our 355 but did not like them. They were black and gold and showed every scratch, so we opted not to get them for the 365. I knew with a camper this heavy, I had to get rid of the China tires. I know that a lot of people do not like the Goodyear G614s but that is what I went with. I actually have more tire capacity than I do axle capacity. The wheels are rated for 110psi, so I am good there. I just simply cannot figure out why they would put 6k axles under there. As I stated, there are Montanas on the same lot, shorter and lighter with 7k axles. I've even posted on Sandpiper's Facebook page that I would never buy another one of their units until they did that. Of course, I got no response. I wonder now, how much it would cost to change to the 7k or 8k axles. I don't known if the existing spring hangers would fit the bigger axles or not. That would entail much more work and expense I would think. I love the unit. It is exactly what we wanted and searched for a long time to find this floor plan. I just wish I more room to play with as far as carrying capacity. I too, have had people tell me that I've lost my ind about this topic. That is why I finally posted the pics of my sticker to show everyone what I am talking about. If you do find out how much it would cost, who could do it, please let me know. I do realize that I would need new wheels when/if I do the swap, but that is not that much of an expense as I have a Tredit Tire warehouse near my home. All they deal with are trailer wheels and tires. Happy camping!

Sorry to hear about the TV, but things like that, you'll talk about for years. I sincerely hope it is cooler where you are than where I am. We have hit 108* and 104* the past two days. I would be very interested to know how much she weighs. I weighed mine for $9.50 then dropped the trailer and weighed the truck within 24 hours for $1 more. Hope you are near a place that you can do that. Either that or drop it in the truck parking lot like my buddy did.

Not bad! Now if you weigh just the trailer or just the truck, you can figure out what kind of pin weight you are looking at. My pin weight is just over 2900 pounds which is fine for my dually. Have a great time and savor the sunsets!
