Front cap led's

Hi,

I am a new member to this forum, just purchased my first fifth wheel, a 2019 Sierra 379FLOK, I cannot find an owners manual that details anything and everything needed.

When it was delivered, the driver had no clue how to explain anything other than the slide outs and hydraulic jacks, and off to Ohio he went, I was very disappointed that no more instruction was given for a first time fifth wheel owner, a lot different than the 30 ft. Sunnybrook I had owned for 17 years.

My question is, how do you turn the LED lights off on the front cap, I have flipped every switch I can find, know there has to be one hidden that I am not seeing.

Last but not least, is there an owners manual that details this, the owners manual on the Forest River Website, leaves a lot to be desired.

Thanks in advance for the help, please don't be angry if I abuse you all a lot these first few months,

Greg

Nearly all RV manufacturers only provide a generic owners manual with No model-specific nor brand-specific information. So no, there is no such manual.

Are you talking about the outside lights on the front cap, or are they inside? If they are the outside lights your switches will be under the overhang or inside the storage bay.

If you’re talking about (probably LED) white lights somewhere on the “nose” of your trailer, these are typically called “docking lights”. The idea is it helps with nighttime lighting for hooking up or disconnecting the trailer.

In MOST 5th wheels, this switch is located somewhere inside the storage area found at the front of the 5th wheel. You wouldn’t want it outside, then anyone could turn it on. Look carefully inside.....around some corner, on a wall, maybe even on the ceiling somewhere.

on my Sandpiper, its on the outside of the unit under the nose to the right of the storage area there.

In case you don't know, Sierra and Sandpiper are the same models except decals, so that may help when looking for answers

On my Cedar Creek the switch is in the wet bay, which is in the pass-thru storage. Go figure!

You posted that you found it but you didn't say where it is. This could hep the next person that can't find it.

Front LEDS

The switch is located above the door of the LP gas tanks under the front of the camper the side away from the entrance doors.

Thanks to Mr Towed for pointing out I didn't share the answer....

Hope this helps......
