Where can I find an owners manual for my Sierra 2000 Travel Trailer? Also where would I find a VIN #? All I got was a bill of sale.

There was not much of a true manual to that trailer. Think of it more like buying a house. You received the owners manuals to the installed appliances and and such. You should be able to look up each manual online.

As far as the vin it should be on a plate or decal on the drivers side body towards the front and or stamped/welded to the drivers side of the frame or tongue.

I'm sure a owners manual for a 20 year old Sierra, won't be any less generic, than one for a new Sierra.
There is no model-specific nor brand-specific owners manual.
Generic owners manuals are a RV Industry standard, not just FR.

If you bought the trailer from the previous owner and you did not receive the manuals for the installed appliances you should take a few hours and look for the appliances. On the appliances there will be a tag of some sort stating the manufacturer name and model number. Write that info down and look them up on the internet. Some manuals can be found on this forum in the Library section. The sizes and number of the documents will be too large to store on a smart phone unless you save them to your cloud storage. Storing the files on a laptop will be the best way because you'll have access to the files when you don't have internet access. The next best is a tablet that you can connect to a thumb drive.


To give you an example, I have a laptop that has 1.46 gigabytes in 543 files just for my TT. I leave the original documents in the TT and use the laptop to access the files at home. Also, the laptop goes with me to the camper every time I go.

Thank you for your help with my recent questions! I am supposed to be living permanently in this 2000 Sierra with my 4 dogs, 2 cats and my 7' Brazilian Rainbow Boa, by Aug 8 (after 38 years of marriage my husband found a 'new friend').... and the slide outs refuse to budge. Is it possible to cut them out and build a new wall? I am sure it is, but any thoughts on the how of it? I am a bit of a Handyman and have friends to help.
