Safety chains

We have a 2017 Sierra 378fb with a Reese gooseneck box hitch and a gooseneck ball in our Dually. Question: does anyone use safety chains with this setup? Pros/cons please.

I believe safety chains are required by federal law on any hitch that is not a true 5th wheel.

All the gooseneck and bumper pulls have safety chains around here.

That would be correct. Also needs the break away cable for brakes.
