"SCARE" toggle switch

Hello all, rather oddly named toggle switch on the wall inside the upper cabinet. Should I be "scared" to push it? Does anyone know what this switch controls???

It should control the "Scare" lights (floodlights) on the outside of your rig

That's quite the picture, Doug

OP - Your scare light is a large 12 volt light on outside of your 5er. You might have more than one. The lights are designed to illuminate a large area around the trailer quickly when there is a concern about the outside area at night. Good for when you pull into a CG at night, too.

Scare lights, that's the one thing I really miss having on my Silverback.

LOL, I read the OP to DH and he responded just as I figured he would;

I'd push it just to find out!

AND he would!

He ain't right y'all. Heck I wouldn't love 'im near as much if he was.

He keeps me laughing 24/7/365

TBH though, I was thinking maybe there was a siren on there to scare critters away. (shrug) I like the idea.

I did that just before driving 350 miles to a campground. Couldn't figure out why trucks were flashing their lights at me.

My trailer did not come with them ! I wired and installed one on the curb side, and wired the one for the road side. The second one will get installed this spring. They come in really handy ! I am contemplating of buying gazillion lumen LED bulbs for them. Did anyone do that ?

Did not think about that.. I was thinking about your camping neighbor. Nothing like a bright light shining in their camp area or thru their windows late at night.

Again, get sufficient enough wattage to see while setting up but be aware of your neighbors who might not appreciate a gazillion watts

x2. Most of the parks we stay at have a rule that no camping party may set up or take down a camping unit between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. We've had to come in once or twice just after hours and turtled it until the next morning.

We do not turn the single one we have so far for setting up or braking camp. It is really for extreme uses, as in if we hear a sound outside in middle of the night. I am a very considerate camper. Now when I am the only guy camping at the whole camp ground, I might run it on for funzies, like I also listen to music outside with the outside speakers in an empty campground ...But that is when I know I am not disturbing anyone. I wish everyone was as careful and as considerate as I am .....

So for urgent uses, gazillion lumens it is For normal uses I have the porch light

You might have to upgrade the flux capacitor to power the gazillion lumens though !!!

I do not need to ! My treller came with two, count "TWO" flux capacitators ! Since a capacitor would not be enough, they upgraded them capacitors to capacitators !

Ok, seriously, I pronounced them capacitators for the longest time That must have been very embarrassing But flux capacitators sounded better to my ears Then my son brutally corrected me until I stopped ....
