Slideout stop and start
My Sierra 355QBQ (2010) has one switch to operate 4 slides. The biggest slide goes out last and usually the last to come in. Recently, it has been stopping and needing a few minutes to start moving again. A few weeks ago, it wouldn't go out. I waited a few minutes and then it did. Fluid level looks ok. I could maybe add some but have been reading about reset breakers needing to be replaced. I am not sure where these are. Anyone else have a similar problem? How would I match these up to new ones?

So let me ask you a question. When the slide is coming in, do you hear a "click" just before it stops? If not, listen for it. It should be in the battery compartment area. It is very likely it is a fuse/switch. See my picture. Your problem sounds exactly like what mine did. Come in for a few seconds, "click", stop, wait a few seconds, come in some more, "click", stop, wait, until it was all the way in. It took me a bit to trace down that fuse, or switch, or whatever it's called, but I replaced it, and no more problems. I would start there.

My slides have done this since the day I bought it new. I wondered if there was a problem. I too will look for this relay fuse and listen to see if it's what's causing the issue.

That is an automatic resetting circuit breaker. As the load on it builds, it trips then resets itself when it has cooled off.

Not sure WRT your unit, but those are usually replaced with an 80a breaker in Keystone Montanas. There's a Lippert bulletin available on their site.

Since you have hydraulic slides and not electric, does the pump motor continue to run when the slide seems to stop? If the pump continues to run, then you don't have an electrical issue. The slides work on the principle of whichever slide takes the least effort (pressure) to move, that's the slide that moves first and then on to the next until they are all in/out.
The hydraulic pump/actuator does have some override valves on it if you want to move a specific slide. Have any of them been recently adjusted/changed? Are you regularly maintaining the slide mechanism (rack) and seals?

The motor has not continued to run. Except for this last time. It stopped moving and had the sound of it running but no movement. I released the switch and waited a short time and then it continued to work moving the slide out. I spray down the gear rack underneath with a dry lube and regularly inspect everything.

X2 I had same issue on my Sandpiper 5th wheel since unit was new. Troubleshot and once I replaced the Relay/Fuse problem was history.

I think with 4 slides the breaker will heat up but it will reset. We have 3 slides(2 huge) and it still does it after replacing the breaker. It will automatically reset in just a few seconds

Are these a specific amperage? I've read 20 amp, 40 amp. Then 30 amp and even 80 amp

Mine are in the front compartment on the left behind a plastic sheet. You should see a couple of brass bus bars and they are attached to them. The slides ran off the one furthest from the door I believe I should be by the camper in a couple of days and send pic. Let me know

Had the same problem and same fix as EdJunior was saying. Very frustrating to deal with as the switch needed time to recover. Start/Stop/Start/Stop.. it was driving me crazy. Glad it got fixed! It has stayed fixed for ~ 8 years now. Each time the slides cycle in or out it has been in one continuous cycle for all four slides.

UPDATE : I finally got around to finding the breakers. I ordered two from Amazon and installed them this past weekend. Ran the slides in and out several times with no issues. Simple fix. Thanks for all of the responses and advice.
